Real Eyes Productions  specializes in the production, promotion and distribution of live and recorded musical events, artists, and programs. 

We are the producers of Tales from the Tavern, a critically-acclaimed concert series that presents singer-songwriter-storytellers in an intimate environment to share - with an extraordinary audience - in a jourey of discovery through song and story. We film and record the Tales from the Tavern concerts, and an interview with each of the artists, for archival purposes. Real Eyes Productions releases many of these audio and video recordings on the Tales from the Tavern label. The archives are also donated to the non-profit Artist Advocacy Foundation, to help preserve and perpetuate the works of artisitcally and culturally significant troubadours performing across a broad spectrum of authentic American roots music styles.  

Real Eyes Productions serves as a record company, concert promoter and production company, booking agency, public relations partner, and management and consulting firm.

We are based in the Santa Ynez Valley on the Central Coast of California.

Always Yes shows Michael’s superb sense of melody, his gift as a poet, and his creativity as an arranger and producer. These talents come together to reveal the unique insights and conviction of a man who has traveled as a troubadour, long and far and wide, more than four decades - as a professional musician, playing original music, and forging a connection, on a grass-roots level, with people - friends and fans and audiences who feel a deeply-personal and profound connection to him through his music.

She's My Band is a unique blend of pedal harp and percussion.  Together they create an eclectic mix of musical surprises from the sexy to the sublime.   With selections ranging from a most original version of Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" to a hypnotic rendition of Charlie Chaplin's "Smile," the band's originality and whimsy shines through.  Their clever use of vocals, harmonica and a range of percussion bring a new and interesting twist to the preconceived notion of "harp music."   This is one you will keep on permanent rotation.
